I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I'm interested in creating a boot disk and was informed that an ISO image can be downloaded from http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/9230-windows-10-iso-download.html
An ISO image is an archive file (disk image) of an optical disc using a conventional ISO (International Organization for Standardization) format. ISO image files typically have a file extension of.ISO. The name “ISO” comes from the ISO 9660 file system used with CD-ROM or DVD media, but an ISO.

The link offers the following two options to download an ISO file with descriptions of each:
1. Directly download a Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft Tech Bench
- An ISO file from Microsoft Tech Bench uses sourcesinstall.wim
2. Download Windows 10 ISO using Media Creation Tool - An ISO file from the Media Creation Tool (MCT) uses sourcesinstall.esd which is a compressed version of install.wim
I have neither install.wim nor install.esd. Neither was downloaded during the Windows 10 upgrade. (The file that was downloaded is named GetWindows10-pse_ggl.exe).

This raises two questions:
1. Not having install.esd nor install.wim, will I still be able to use the ISO file if I want to do a clean install of Windows 10?
Download Linux Iso Image
2. Following the upgrade, my system says that Windows 10 is activated, but does not show a product key. The following link, which describes how to install Windows 10 using an ISO file says that a product key is required.

How can an install be done using the ISO file when a Windows 10 product key is not available?

Thanks.
